Surface 5 Shops run in-house printing with full platform access: you are merchant of record for downstream affiliates, set retail pricing, fulfill on your equipment, and manage your network through admin and ops tools.

You do — on your own DTF equipment. Surface 5 is built for Shops with in-house production capabilities. Your ops queue, printers, and staff run the day-to-day fulfillment. If you hit a capacity crunch, you can route overflow jobs to XtraDTF network production for a fee. That backup is optional, not the core model.

A registered business with an EIN (or equivalent tax ID), active DTF production capability, and a clear plan for running orders through your own shop. Platform verification confirms you are set up to fulfill — network overflow is there when you need extra capacity, not instead of it.
