Why PNG Only?

The single most important file format rule for high-quality DTF printing

Why we only accept PNG files

PNG is the gold standard for DTF printing. It preserves maximum quality, supports true transparency, and does not introduce the compression artifacts that JPG files do.

Never upload JPG files. The compression used in JPGs creates small blocks and noise that become very obvious when printed with DTF.

Key Advantages of PNG Files:

  • Lossless compression — no quality is lost
  • Full support for transparency (alpha channel)
  • Sharp edges and fine details are preserved
  • No compression artifacts or color banding

How to Save Your Files Correctly

In almost any program (Photopea, Paint.NET, GIMP, Photoshop, etc.), simply choose Export → PNG or Save As → PNG.

If given the option, choose PNG-24 for the highest quality.

Quick Rule: If your file ends in .jpg or .jpeg — re-save it as .png before uploading.
